Hormonal balance means your body and reproductive hormones are able to communicate and function in a healthy way. Signs of imbalance can include irregular cycles, painful periods, PMS, acne, fatigue, mood changes or feeling disconnected from your body.

The Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) is a science-based approach to understanding and tracking your menstrual cycle through biomarkers such as cervical mucus, basal body temperature, cervical height and cycle patterns. It can be used for body literacy, cycle health, natural contraception, or trying to conceive.

Not at all. Many women are simply looking to better understand their cycle, support their hormones naturally, reduce symptoms, or reconnect with their body. Fertility awareness is about much more than pregnancy.

Yes. Hormonal birth control changes the natural hormonal cycle and usually suppresses ovulation, so you may not experience the full cyclical phases in the same way. Because of this, some aspects of fertility awareness and cycle tracking will look different.
Even so, this work can still support body literacy, symptom awareness, understanding hormonal health, and creating more supportive rhythms around energy and rest. It can also help prepare you for a future transition off hormonal contraception if desired.

Hormonal birth control can be an important and supportive option for many people. However, it often works by suppressing ovulation and altering the body’s natural hormonal cycle. While it may help manage symptoms such as acne, painful periods, or irregular cycles, it often does not address the underlying root causes behind these symptoms.
For many women, symptoms may return after stopping hormonal birth control and sometimes feel even more noticeable after years of suppression. Some people also experience side effects from hormonal contraception without initially realizing they may be connected, such as mood changes, low libido, anxiety, emotional numbness, headaches, or changes in energy levels.
Fertility awareness offers a way to better understand your body, hormones, and natural cycle through body literacy and cycle tracking. For many women, experiencing a natural cycle can create a deeper connection to their body, emotions, energy levels, and overall sense of self throughout the month.
This work is not about judging hormonal birth control, but about supporting informed choice, education, and a deeper understanding of reproductive health.

The number of sessions depends on your goals and the type of support you are looking for. If you mainly want to learn the basics of fertility awareness and cycle tracking, this can often be covered in 2–3 educational sessions.
If you are experiencing hormonal symptoms, irregular cycles, painful periods, or want more personalised support, I recommend a longer coaching package. Hormonal health is deeply individual and influenced by many areas of life, so meaningful support and lasting changes often take time.
Support around fertility, preconception, or coming off hormonal birth control can also be tailored to your individual needs. Programmes can be adjusted and extended where needed.
